TURNING TO HOSPICE IS NOT ABOUT GIVING UP

It’s about living as fully as possible with your condition. You can receive palliative care while you are undergoing treatments that may cure or reverse the effects of your illness. In fact, palliative care can help you cope with the effects of aggressive treatments by getting pain and symptoms under control to help you fight the disease.

OUR SERVICES

Hospice White River’s services are focused on three core areas.

Palliative Care

Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families when facing problems associated with life-threatening illness.

Bereavement Support

Hospice White River provides a supportive counselling service for anyone experiencing the loss of a loved one or during the difficult time of a life-threatening illness.
Medical Equipment
We can provide a wide variety of medical equipment for use by patients at no cost. Our equipment is also available for rental to all White River residents.
TESTIMONIALS

At Hospice White River, we touch lives in a way that can be hard to comprehend if you have never been in a position to make use of our services.

This experience has left me humbled – realising that my family and I could not have walked this path without the support, guidance and love of family and friends... among these the Hospice White River women.

- MARIANNE -

No one can understand what Hospice means to you until you are in that situation where all seems so hopeless. They truly are ‘ ANGELS IN DISGUISE ‘ and I will be grateful to them for the rest of my life.’

- HESTER -

Each member of my family are eternally grateful for the Hospice angels. Once again, words fail me as I flounder for the appropriate adjective to describe them, or the verbs to describe what they did for us. My advice – call them in, sooner rather than later.
