Over a decade ago, we developed Hospice Heroes—an initiative inviting our community to host creative events to fundraise for Hospice White River.

Since then, your support has been the lifeblood of our work. Hospice receives no government funding, relying entirely on the generosity of our town in order to provide professional care and compassion to those facing life-threatening or terminal illnesses.

This February, Di Atherton and Terran Gericke are excited to re-launch Hospice Heroes and Hospice Super Heroes! Hospice Heroes is for members of our community who want to support Hospice White River while having fun along the way!

The beauty of this initiative lies in its flexibility. It could be a cake sale, a fun run, big walk, movie night, birthday party or dinner with donations instead of gifts, a staff coffee challenge (Giving it up for Hospice), grand golf day or a classroom fundraising drive. Events can be as big or small, one-off or ongoing, as you’d like. It’s entirely up to you. The only limit is your imagination!

  • Hospice Heroes                   : For individuals who want to make an impact and a difference.
  • Hospice Super Heroes        : For businesses ready to rally their teams to help

We do have a few simple formalities to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Please download the application form here to become a Hospice Hero or here for public events submit it to us for review.

Rest assured, all funds raised go directly to supporting our work, and every cent stays in White River.

Your efforts help us keep doing what we do best: offering home-based quality care and support to our patients and their families during some of life’s toughest challenges.

Will you be our next Hospice Hero or Super Hero? Or know someone who definitely has hero tendencies? Please pass this on to them.
